What is MOP DADC and what do they do?

MOP DC/DA stands for Meter Operator (MOP), Data Collector (DC), and Data Aggregator (DA).  

MOP role is to install, manage, maintain, and upgrade electricity meters 

The DA and DC roles are to collect and aggregate the reads from HH meters to be sent on to the supplier for billing.  

It is a legal requirement for all HH supplies to have a MOP DA and DC appointed. These agents can be appointed via the supplier and rebilled to the customer, or customer can elect to have a direct MOP DADC contract in which MOP DADC are paid directly by the customer.
