What if my supply address is wrong?
Find out if the right meters are being billed
We want to take the time and hassle out of both energy comparison and switching. Using industry data means we can get information from the national database (known as ECOES). This means you spend less time filling in forms.
But this information is not always fully up to date. The address on the database could have been taken from your meter at any point during its lifetime.
Before any change of address, we would advise making sure the right meter is being billed. The simplest way to do this is to check that the MPAN on your electricity contract and the MPRN on your gas contract match the meters at your address. This means you will need to get in touch with your supplier to change the address.
Once you have let your supplier know, they can ask for the information on the national database to be changed.
