I thought my contract was going to start earlier or as soon as possible?
The start date of your contract
If you sign a new energy contract while your existing one is live, this new contract will start as soon as your current one ends.
If your current contract has ended and there are no objections from either supplier, it should take 30 to 35 days for your new contract to start. This is because of the process suppliers must go through when applying to take over an energy meter.
We'll do everything we can to speed things up, but if you are not under contract with your current supplier, you should expect your new contract to start about a month after you have signed it.
If it has been more than 35 days and your contract still has not started, get in touch with us using Live Chat. This is open from 8:30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
